Sierra Velasquez

Sierra Velasquez is a licensed massage therapist and has actively worked with clients since 2002. She has worked in diverse settings such as Forbes 5-Star Spa award winning spas, physical therapy clinic settings, and elite sports performance facilities. As a team member of Revive Touch Wellness and HannaLe Healing Arts, she has worked with top poker players to help them achieve wellness throughout Europe, the Caribbean, and North Africa.

Sierra’s life changed after meeting her teacher, the legendary Thai massage Master Pichest Boonthumme of northern Thailand. She has lived in Chiang Mai and annually visits Pichest’s home based school to learn from him, and his unique, highly effective methods of working with the body. Indigenous healing can not be read about to be learned, only felt and learned through hands-on guidance and daily practice, and she put in the work of daily practice with her mentor. She now passes on the knowledge learned through teaching workshops for massage therapists and others who seek to learn.

Sierra has worked with professional athletes, celebrities, musicians, renowned yoga instructors, and others across the globe, but is now based in Los Angeles, California. Thai massage sessions have become an expression of Sierra’s passion for Eastern influenced massage rituals, and her means of sharing the therapeutic body wisdom lessons learned with the wider community, including volunteering sessions for the disabled community.

Healing Description

Before massage schools and certifications existed, Traditional Thai Yoga Massage used to be passed down from teacher to student with a daily practice and hands-on adjustments. This is the way I learned how to practice Thai massage from my teacher, the legendary Ajarn Pichest Boonthumme. It has resulted in a natural, common sense approach to bodywork that is very unique and effective for chronic pain and injuries. The recipient stays fully dressed and the massage is performed on a special mat on the floor, and is led through deep compressions and stretches.
