We approach the COVID-19 pandemic seriously. The safety of our crew and community is our highest priority. We continue to diligently follow Federal, State, and local guidelines in order to best prepare for and build our safety model for our event in April. We have purposefully remained in a state of witnessing and waiting to review what requirements surface, fade away, and simply change - so that we can provide the safest experience to our staff and community.
We know our community comes from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds, political views, religious beliefs, and spiritual practices. It can be very difficult to promote a safety protocol with so many variants and - at times, contradictory or questionable public information - to such a broad spectrum of humans. We have done our best to assess the current climate around COVID-19, based on many factors but in particular: the reduced fatality rates from exposure and the resulting lessening of restrictions and compliance mandates throughout the state and abroad.
Data shows that while vaccinated persons may experience improved immunity and/or reduced symptoms and duration when infected, that vaccinated persons may still in fact test positive for COVID-19 and transmit the virus.
*Our updated final COVID-19 protocol as of 3/20/22 for Lucidity Festival 2022:
- Mandatory staff testing on a 72 hour repeating basis with Guardian Testing
- We encourage all participants to test within 48 hours of arriving to support travel plans. This will help prevent you from traveling a long distance and possibly infecting other riders or be turned away due to positive COVID test pre-symptoms.
- All participants can pre-register for free COVID testing prior to arrival. Participants can also register onsite. Free testing and results are fast and easy and will take place during your wait time in your vehicle as it approaches the Box Office.
- Any participant who receives a positive test will not be allowed into the event. We understand the time, energy, and disappointment should this occur and will issue a refund in what we believe will be minimal cases.
We encourage carpooling to our event, however - we suggest everyone who is traveling a distance or with other people outside their family circle to test prior to avoid these concerns. Thank you!
