Alysia Michelle James

Alysia Michelle James is a composer, aerialist and movement artist who has been collaborating with Lucidity Festivals since day one. She is a master aerial instructor working on a PhD in Music Composition at UC Santa Barbara, where she is also a lecturer in the dance department. Her research is based on the connection between music and dance/movement. With Lucidity Festivals she has worked as a composer for our annual Haunted Halloween Pumpkin Patch, an aerial performer at Lucidity Festival and she has presented her project Music of Ghost which combines her skills as a choreographer, aerial performer and composer. She combines classical composition with electronics to create a new realm of introspection in her music which is a deep dive into the other worlds we perceive in altered states of consciousness.
