Sam Tobey (Flow Mayhem) is a Los Angeles based fire performer and flow arts teacher. She specializes in a medieval kung fu weapon called a rope dart, that she has adapted to become her dance partner. Sam cut her teeth on California flow arts festivals in 2016, and has since gained impressive momentum on the internet as a rope dart performance artist. She has blown audiences away at events like Lightning in a Bottle, Envision, and Burning Man, performed nationally and internationally at high-end events and festivals, and worked with prestigious entertainment companies such as Quixotic and Zen Arts. Her style incorporates ballet pirouettes with martial-arts stances, and her priority is to showcase the rope dart as a dance tool as well as a weapon. Lucidity was one of her first ever festival performances and will always be home to her.
