KAIPORA is a genre-bending, live-electronic duo that consists of two powerhouse musicians. Vocalist Kevin Rodriguez (@krawd_lives) captivates audiences and navigates musical universes through a multitude of instruments, including the electric guitar, keyboard, saxophone, didgeridoo, and more. Then there’s bass-master extraordinaire Ronnie Holguin (@rwnjmz) who grounds each performance in entrancing rhythms and controls the heartbeat of the experience with a live beatpad and keyboard combo.

Their sound weaves together threads from their favorite genres—Heavy Bass, House, Hip Hop, and Dance—and the complexity of their performances are inspired by the intrinsic beauty of nature. Kevin and Ronnie honed their skills throwing renegade festivals anywhere they could set up their speakers. They played in locations across the West Coast from the forests of Northern California to the beaches of Southern California, permanently tying their roots to Mother Earth and leading them to their moniker: KAIPORA (“Caipora” being the Brazilian folklore’s “Protector of the Forest”).
