Ryan Herr

Ryan has been orchestrating and facilitating live and electronic music for ecstatic dance for over 8 years, playing various instruments such as classical guitar, mandolin, synthesizers, banjo, bass, kalimba and multiple percussions. Based out of San Luis Obispo, CA, he began his journey with a group called YUM Sessions which has toured to ecstatic dance venues and festival around the country, always bringing their own dance FLOOR which will be a featured installment this year within Lucidity at the Spin Cycle movement playground. Ryan has spent the past year playing with national touring act Shamans Dream (Craig Kohland) providing music for sacred movement sessions with teachers such as Shiva Rae, Micheline Berry, Baron Baptiste, Eoin Finn and Sita Devi. Ryan will be collaborating with a mix of musicians at Lucidity to create a live spontaneous ecstatic dance session focused on how we can show up for music and dance in a more somatic way in hopes to deepen our connection with our own bodies and those around us.
