Ray has practiced yoga for over 20 years, and taught for 2½ years. He is currently the host and producer of Yoga Santa Barbara Style, streamed at yogaSBstyle.com, which focuses on yoga philosophy, practice, and offers tips and techniques on breath-work, asana, and meditation. Ray teaches at Source Yoga Studio and Spectrum Athletic Club in addition to his activities on the Yoga Santa Barbara Style tv/web series.

  • Warrior Yoga Class for Courage, Strength, & Health
    Day: Saturday | Duration: 75 min. | Location: Warriors' Arena

    The morning yoga class will reanimate your body in preparation for the day. It will focus on the breath, building heat, and exploring the edges of body and mind. After asana enjoy a guided meditation and embrace the courage to follow your heart. While beginning gently, this vinyasa practice will build to achieve a level of exertion meant to take you to the edge and calm your mind. Then we probe areas of each individual's practice venturing to bring courage to the fore.

  • Warrior Yoga Class for Strength, Courage, & Determination
    Day: Sunday | Duration: 75 min. | Location: Warriors' Arena

    This Power Yoga class will tone & strengthen, bringing a fresh energy to your morning practice. While focusing on the breath, build heat and determination. Vinyasa sequences will warm the body in preparation for holding poses. Once the fluid movement has prepared the body for the pose, each selected pose will be held long enough to delve into our determination, to bring our awareness there and probe our ability to enhance that quality. As each pose is held, we’ll examine the form of the pose and the subtle distinction of areas of our bodies., specifically, where can it be relaxed and where must it remain active. This balance of the body will assist in bringing new determination to our warrior spirits. Class will close with a 15 minute meditation.
