Chris Weidmann & the Wu Shu Studio

Chris Weidmann established the Wu Shu Studio - “Wu Shu” meaning Martial Arts in Chinese - in Santa Barbara in 1979 and has been teaching ever since. Mr. Wiedmann’s methods incorporate mental and spiritual disciplines, setting his school apart from others where the traditional practice of integrating both components has largely been lost. Mr. Wiedmann holds the rank of 7th degree black belt, Senior Professor of the Art, in the system of Kenpo Karate, and his methods of teaching have been praised in a number of published articles. Additionally the Wu Shu Studio has been voted best martial arts school in the Santa Barbara area by independent newspaper readers polls six times.
