An avid food activist, Alison has spent the last 10 years developing a passion for creating sustainable food systems through education, inspirational events and talks, and empowering people to live into the change they see is possible.
Eric Cardenas
COO of LoaCom and LoaTree and founder of the SB Ag Futures Alliance (AFA), Eric has been deeply involved in food systems efforts locally and statewide, working on both the political and community activism levels, with farmers and politicians alike.
Loren Luyendyke
Permaculture Designer and teacher, Founder of the Global Permaculture Design Group and Surfers without Borders, Loren is deeply inspired by nature and lives life to regenerate the earth while growing food and creating community
around it! He runs a local permaculture design and land management company called Santa Barbara
Organics (www.sborganics.com), through which he manages and consults for residential and farm lands.
Melissa Cohen
Melissa Ilana Cohen is a nationally recognized activist in the food cooperative sector. Her inspirational lectures around food, culture, cooperative business and participatory activism, and the embracing of the divine feminine have become a mainstay at UC Santa Barbara and around the community.
