Day: Saturday | Duration: 30 min. | Location: Fishbon Proscenium

As part of her research for her 2012 report The Funk Zone: A Neighborhood in Transition, Laura Inks travelled the Northeast to answer the question, what do the very best intentional creative communities have in common? This talk will summarize her results. From AS220 in Providence to the Buswick area of Brooklyn and the dynamic Lawrenceville neighborhood in Pittsburgh, creatives are supporting the Creative Class thesis of Richard Florida and other thinkers. Creative Collaboration and cross disciplinary project development are keys to the health of creative communities in the 21st century.
