Steve Huerta

Steve Huerta is a self-trained DJ/Producer based in Los Angeles, California. Huerta debuted his first EP “Take Me Closer” in July of 2012 on Montreal-based Amadeus Records. The EP was met by high praise amongst many within the underground house community, putting his name into the public eye as an artist to watch.
His sophomore release with the Canadian house duo Prince Club entitled, “Can’t Let Go” proved to be a great follow up to “Take Me Closer”. The release garnered support from the likes of Catz n’ Dogz, Sinden, Droog, Joyce Muniz, Homework, KRL, Broke One, Waze & Odyssey, and Dirt Crew.
The two track EP received repeated radio play on the world renowned KCRW and has been featured on immensely influential media sites such as XLR8R and Gotta Dance Dirty.
2013 is set to be a big year for the young producer. With EPs already scheduled for release on petFood (Miami), Dirt Crew Recordings (Berlin), and Avotre (Berlin).

The Buzz
Throbbing bass, bubbly synths, intricate vocal work and sampling, spot-on grooves and percussion, filtered pad work. It takes you deep– very deep– but in a friendly sort of way that Steve is carving out as his signature. I’ve always loved what he does with the vocal samples that he combs the sonic world to find, and he’s got a hauntingly good sense of atmosphere that is at this point unmistakable Gotta Dance Dirty
