Lucidity General Information

When you plan your trip please consider our Box Office hours. Should you arrive to the event after Box Office hours you will have to wait with your car until the box office reopens in the morning. No Exceptions!
Your wristband is your ticket. Do not take it off, do not tamper with it, do not lose it. Anyone without a wristband, or in possession of a wristband which has been altered in any way, is subject to ejection from the festival grounds without refund.
Early Arrival (EA Pass)
We have a limited number of early arrival (Thursday Entry) passes available for purchase. Please do not plan to arrive early unless you have acquired an EA Passes for everyone arriving with you. An Early Arrival pass will only gain you entry to the event IN CONJUNCTION WITH a 3-Day Event Pass. If you arrive on Thursday without both an EA Pass & 3-Day Event Pass for everyone in your party you will be asked to leave the premises and return at the appropriate entry time.
Low Income Tickets
We will be offering 40 Low Income Tickets this year for $96 per ticket. We will be holding these tickets in reserve for participants on a limited income who would otherwise not be able afford our regular priced ticket.
The Low Income application is designed to require a great deal of input from the applicants as we want to be able to make the best decision as to who most needs this kind of accommodation.
Applications are now closed. Thank you to everyone who applied!
General Parking
ALL vehicles are subject to a $20 impact fee upon arrival on the grounds (Excluding Car Camping Passes & RV Passes). Cash and Cards accepted at the gate. Please have a form of payment ready when you arrive.
Don’t want to pay? Leave the car at home! Lucidity is proud to connect you with rideshare options, and a brand new opportunity - a very affordable shuttle service!
Help us co-create a safe and effective parking experience by not leaving valuables in your vehicles.
RV & Car Camping Passes
We are keeping the amount of RV passes and Car Camping passes at a relatively low level. This comes from a desire to keep the village energy and aesthetic at a high vibration. Please be considerate of your neighbors if you have your car in the campgrounds - turning it on inevitably means someone will breathe your exhaust.
RV camping does not guarantee tent-camping space. Most approved RV’s will be parked in a corral, and while you will have enough space to enjoy your home away from home, we ask that you do not invite all your friends to camp on your front lawn. No facilities will be provided (power, water, etc.). Your pass is strictly to permit RV camping on site.
In order to accommodate everyone, we may direct you to park your vehicle/RV in a particular spot. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we create the most exceptional experience for all!
Camping
Camping is included in the 3-Day Event Pass and Saturday/Sunday Event Pass. Sunday Event Passes DO NOT include camping.
There are 7 Archetypal themed villages that provide ample space for all our participants, with beautiful oak trees that provide shade throughout most of the camping areas. You may wish to bring your own shade structures to ensure your camp has adequate coverage throughout the day - but please, be mindful of your overall footprint - share your space with others.
Camping is first-come, first-served.
Plan for hot days and cold nights, with a chance of rain. (45-75F temperature range) There will be some shade/rain structures throughout the event grounds, in some workshop areas and village circles.
There is a stream that lines the outside perimeter of the event that is inaccessible and off limits. Mountain lions live in this area, do not wander outside of the festival grounds, especially at night!
While we love our furry friends, there are no pets allowed on-site (excluding service animals).
Camp Fires & Grills
Absolutely NO open flames – this includes fire pits, charcoal BBQs, and burn barrels. Propane grills and camp stoves are permitted. Food will be available – provided by conscious food vendors, regulated by Sol Food (Sustainable, Organic, and Local). We encourage the use of food provided through the festival as we are being conscious to make it both affordable and healthy – and it creates less waste and trash than bringing in your own.
The only open fire is the venue’s central campfire which will be maintained by staff throughout the event. This common location is open to all, but please self monitor your use if there are people waiting to spend time there as well.
Water & Trash
We at Lucidity believe strongly in the ethos of “Leave it Better”. If you bring food, cleaning products, party accessories (glowtoys, batteries, makeup), we ask that you plan to pack it out when you leave. There will be recycle, landfill, and composting bins available on site (dumping services are subject to a nominal fee), and we kindly ask that you sort your waste accordingly. We are working toward creating a zero-waste environment. Help by bringing reusable eating utensils, plates, cups, and cloth napkins, and by removing products from packaging before coming.
Water is provided on site so no need for plastic water bottles – in fact, we discourage the use of plastic water containers as they are not only poisonous but destructive to the Earth. Bring one large water container for your campsite if you feel it necessary, and personal refillable bottles.
Elevating the Leave No Trace philosophy, our goal is to leave it better than before we arrived. We aim to find ways to make improvements to the grounds, and take steps toward stewarding the land, trees, and animals in a way that is respectful to our planet. Help us set the example - it takes us all to make it happen!
ICE
Ice will be available onsite for you to purchase from the Lucid City. We’ll have more details for you as we get closer to the event as to how much it will cost. Thanks for being patient.
Medical
We will have trained professional medical care available on site. The medical team will be positioned at the main Medic pavilion, located near the information center between the showers and food preparation zone, with 2 smaller first aid stations within the festival grounds. Medical personnel will be identifiable by red shirts.
In case of emergency during the event, alert the nearest staff member ASAP. We are here to keep you safe!
Workshops & Healing Services
All Workshops, Bodywork, and Healing services are included in the price of your entry, and fee-free throughout the event! Take advantage of learning a new modality and/or meet inspiring teachers and fellow students. These workshop facilitators and healers are all volunteering their time and energy in sharing their gifts with you – please respond in kind – gratitude, barter, gift exchange, and even tips in the form of money will all be graciously accepted.
Lucidity offers five theme villages with workshop zones. Look in our program to see the workshop schedule for the Healing Sanctuary, Lover’s Nest, Family Garden, Goddess Grove, and Warrior’s Way.
Dream Rangers (Security)
Our Dream Rangers & Security team are here to assist in creating the most enjoyable experience for each participant. We value our participants as part of our family and only intend to create space for safety and a comfortable environment. Please respect and honor these dedicated compassionate men & woman – they are powerful allies and act as a barrier between participants and outside agencies. We are all here to have a good time!

We suggest you bring…
These are items that we suggest you bring for your comfort, entertainment, and safety.
- Bring three (3) trash bags to keep your recyclables and compost separate from landfill waste. Leave no trace – leave our site and the park better than you found it.
- Reusable water bottle. Stainless steel is best. They will be available for purchase at Lucidity Artifacts onsite if you forget yours!
- Reusable eating ware and utensils. Even the food court will allow use of your own washable plate!
- Gifts for new and old friends – great for trade & barter
- Two gifts for our community mandala so you can take one as you leave
- Flashlight, headlamp, reflective neon, anything else to light yourself and your way
- Costumes (we know you won’t forget), decorative lighting, lots of blinkies and other things to decorate and light yourself. Did we mention no glowsticks?!
- Art, musical instruments, props, banners, signs, and anything else you can think of that might make the experience more fun for all
- Camping gear – ideally waterproof. Tents and tarps need to be free-standing. Set a tarp down as a ground cloth below your tent, and pack a few extra large garbage bags to protect your gear just in case it rains.
- Shade structures, umbrellas, parasols, sheets, canopy, tarps, tent, parachute; something to break the strong mid-day sun and/ or rain. However - please be mindful of your individual footprint to allow enough space for all.
- Tennis balls (or recycled plastic bottles) to top and protect dangerous rebar stakes or other hazards
- Appropriate clothing: light clothes for during the day (likely high 60s-70s), warmer clothing for at night (likely high 40s-50s) and rain gear
- Earplugs
- Any prescription medications, contact lens supplies, and whatever else you need to maintain your health and comfort in a remote area with no services
- Be conscious of your contact with the sun. We do not endorse the use of sunblock – the sun is good for you; grow your relationship with respect needed to avoid sunburns.
- Solid sandals or close-toed shoes and flip flops
- First aid kit - we have a medical team onsite, but it is always a good idea to have some essentials just in case
- Yoga mat
- Portable chairs
- Love and commUnity spirit
Can I bring my pet?
NO. Dogs, cats, birds, snakes, fish - do not bring your animal companion. Unless required as a service animal - and please let us know via [email protected] if this applies to you - animals are not allowed onsite. The festival is a very busy place and we do not need extra little creatures getting lost. Not to mention that loud noises are very bad for their sensitive ears.
Any individuals bringing in their pets will be turned around at the gate. No pets are allowed onsite, and you will be asked to leave (taking your companion with you) if you do not respect this request. It is a safety hazard for our guests - and for your pet - to have them on site.
Kids and Family at Lucidity

We encourage you to not show up before 8 am in a collective effort to keep traffic from lining up on the highway.
When do I have to leave?
The event is officially over as of Monday morning, and we kindly ask you to vacate the site by NOON. This doesn’t mean begin packing up at 11:30 - please be sure to have your selves and everything you brought off-site by noon.

Does my ticket include camping?
3-Day & 2-Day Event passes include camping.
1-Day Event Pass DOES NOT include camping.
Early Arrival Pass provides for Thursday night camping.
What’s the difference between “car camping” and “general parking”…which one do I pick if I want my car parked near our camp?
A Car Camping Pass is what is needed to park your vehicle inside the event, with your camp. General Parking will be subject to an ‘impact fee’ of $20/vehicle and will be located in our general parking lot outside the gate.
(Please note: Car Camping Passes are SOLD OUT.)
I heard you have to buy a camping pass on top of the festival ticket, is this true? Or is the camping included with the festival ticket?
NOT TRUE, camping is included in the 3-Day & 2-Day Event Passes. You have the option of purchasing a Car Camping Pass which allows you to park your vehicle in your camp with you. If you do not get the car camping pass then you park in general parking and walk your stuff in. Everything is within easy walking distance. If you only purchase a car camping pass, you will still have to purchase a festival pass to get into the event. (Please note: Car Camping Passes are SOLD OUT.)
How can I transfer my ticket for Lucidity Festival?
If you are not able to join us for the event, we have empowered you with the ability to transfer your ticket to another person, as we do not offer refunds for tickets.
Follow these steps to transfer your ticket to someone else:
- Log in to your Eventbrite account at www.eventbrite.com/
gettickets - Enter the email address you used to register for your tickets.
- If you’ve forgotten your password, no problem! Just enter your email address where it says ‘Forgot Password?’ and you will be sent an email to help set your new password.
- Once logged into your account, click on ‘View Order’ to view your event.
- Select the Edit details button to the right of the ticket type you purchased, below the event title.
- Once you have made all of your changes click ‘Save.’
- The new holder of your ticket will receive an email allowing them access to the ticket. It is now in their name and they can access it thru Eventbrite in the same way that you have.
If you have any questions about this process, please get in touch with our ticketing team via [email protected].
Is there will-call?
There is no will-call at the box office. All participants are asked to be prepared by arriving with your own ticket in your legal name. All tickets (unless hard copy) are purchased through Eventbrite and are accessible for you to view, change your personal information, transfer to another person, and download. Be sure to show up with your ticket in a scannable format on your phone, or printed on paper. We highly encourage a paperless effort, and in doing so please ensure that every person has their own ticket.
Say you purchased three tickets and two of them are for your friends - log into Eventbrite, and change the names/emails for two of the tickets to the people they belong to. Those individuals will receive confirmation emails, and will now be able to access their own ticket just as you did!
Parking
How does parking work?
All vehicles will be required to pay a $20 impact fee, RV/Car Camping excluded. You will receive a general parking pass and then be directed to nearest available parking lot. Please arrive at ticketing with your preferred form of payment - cash and credit card will be accepted.
Our parking lots are monitored, and we do not allow camping within them. As they are located a fair distance from the festival site, please be mindful when deciding how much gear to bring. There will be a shuttle service running daily to assist you in gear transportation.
Each RV/Car Camping Pass allows for one vehicle to enter the festival grounds. (Please note: Car Camping Passes are SOLD OUT.)
We are not allowing vehicles onto the grounds temporarily for gear drops. This would create far too much confusion and clutter. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this effort to keep our grounds safe and clean!
Can we bring bicycles?
Bicycles are NOT encouraged at Lucidity. Live Oak Campground is an intimate and relatively small venue. You’ll find everything within comfortable walking distance.
If you require ADA assistance in getting around the event grounds please contact [email protected]
How does car camping work?
All camping is within the seven (7) Archetypal villages. A Car Camping Pass allows you to park one (1) vehicle at your campsite (within the designated car camping area).
We encourage camps with multiple people to pitch in and use Car Camping as a way to bring multiple participants equipment and gear to the camp. The amount of Car Camping passes has been limited this year to allow for optimal amounts of camping space for all.
Vehicles without Car Camping passes will park in general parking outside the main gate and walk in.
(Please note: Car Camping Passes and RV Passes are SOLD OUT.)
Is there a shuttle service/carpool/rideshare to Lucidity?
Why YES, there is!!
If you would like to explore our rideshare options, check THIS out!
Brand new for 2014 - we are offering a shuttle service from Goleta straight onto the festival site! Exciting, right? AND affordable!! Check out this epic offer RIGHT HERE!
What’s the difference between an RV Pass and a Car Camping Pass?
An RV Pass is for a vehicle longer that 15ft. Also classified as RV’s are trailers of any size. For more definition on what classifies as a motor home, check out this DMV webpage.
A Car Camping Pass is for a vehicle less than 15ft in length. If your camper van is less than 15 ft, you’re in the clear with a Car Camping Pass.
If you show up on the grounds with a vehicle longer than 15ft, or a trailer, and you DO NOT have an RV pass, you will not be allowed to bring your vehicle onto the camping grounds. It will be parked in general parking, you will pay a larger impact fee (to account for your larger vehicle), and you will not be able to sleep in it. There is NO CAMPING in the parking lots.
Please, be mindful that our site has limited space and everyone wants a comfy spot to sleep.
ALL RV and Car Camping Passes are SOLD OUT and none will be available for purchase at the event.

(Please note: Car Camping Passes and RV Passes are SOLD OUT.)
Once we are placed in a village, do we have free reign to set up camp? Can we set up theme camp style, or have a stage?
Within each of our seven Archetypal villages, there is a village circle – please respect the areas created by the infrastructure as well as the space of your campmates. Each village provides ample camping space for our attendees, provided you are mindful of your footprint. This is an open-source event, and so you are invited to bring and do what you like as long as you are respectful and compassionate to the needs and experiences of others.
Any amplified sound must be approved BEFORE the event. Please be sure to contact [email protected] if you are interested in bringing such an offering. Remember that amplified music is not allowed after midnight - this includes drum circles.
We cool to run a generator?
Please be conscious of generator placement and the hours of use. If you are unsure, err on the side of being too considerate of your campmates. Consider bringing and decorating a generator cover – plywood walls with an open top. Conceal your cords, or flag them with neon tape. If you do not feel artistic, allow it to be a Live Art collaboration!
If your generator is identified as being disruptive you’ll be asked to turn it off. This is out of consideration for the group experience.
Can we post up theme camp style?
Check out our villages, they are based on Archetypal themes… and yes, we encourage theme camps but only with appropriate heads up! Large theme camps & sound camps that are not confirmed in advance will be asked to reduce their impact. Contact us before hand if you would like to discuss which village might best represent your theme camp – email [email protected] and [email protected]
Is there an official sign up for our camps or do we just show up to the camp we have connected with?
There is no official sign-up process for camps. Please touch base with those you’ll be camping with in advance and you’ll be directed to the village when being greeted. If you are coming with a large camp or theme camp, please feel free to join the Village Facebook page you plan to camp in, and collaborate with other Dreamers camping in your village. Anyone looking to bring amplified sound is required to checking with the village coordinators. You can reach them through [email protected]
Will there be a RV/Trailer camping area?
Yes. You must have pre-purchased an RV pass to bring your RV or trailer to Lucidity (these passes are now sold out). We offer a very limited number of these in an effort to maintain enough camping space for all attendees. If you do not purchase an RV pass and show up with an RV or a trailer, you will have to park in general parking and be subject to a higher impact fee (to reflect your larger vehicle). There is no camping allowed in the general parking lot.
Trailers that have been pre-approved for RV passes will not be permitted to have their vehicles alongside them. An RV or Car Camping pass is associated with one vehicle only.
If you have questions, please email [email protected]
(Please note: RV and Car Camping Passes are SOLD OUT.)
Is this festival a camp out/ bring your own tent function?
Yes. Please bring your own tent, dome, yurt, or free-design structure to camp in. That said, space is limited at Live Oak Campground so we ask you to be conscious of your foot print. Let there be enough space for all to enjoy!
What’s the deal with the different Villages?
Lucidity offers its campers seven (7) Archetypal themed villages to camp within.
The Lovers Nest - representing the Lover Archetype, hosting a world-class cuddle-puddle and many things self-Love… this is not only a ‘couples’ village but an invitation to explore your inner and outer loving self.
The Trickster’s Playground - embodying the Fool or Jester energy, also hosts our Alive Stage.
The Warriors Way - expressing the Warrior spirit, this showcases much of our Flow and Movement arts… Fire dancing, Glow spinning, Qi-gong, Tai-chi, kung-fu, practice weapon sparing, etc.
The Healing Sanctuary - personifying Mystic/Sage energy, hosts our fee-free healing space as well as spiritual and healing workshops.
The Family Garden - embodying Mother, Father, and Child energies – as well as a home to our eco-conscious and perma-culture workshops and seminars.
The Nomad’s Nook - symbolizing Loner/Rebel energy, harnessing the collective of underground crews and housing our Renegade Sound Stage.
The Goddess Grove - A safe container for Goddess energy, providing the chance to come in contact with the divine feminine in all her dark and light aspects through art and workshops.
Each village will exemplify the intention of bringing you into greater understanding of yourself through Archetype identification and balance.

ALL RV and Car Camping Passes are SOLD OUT and none will be available for purchase at the event.
Logistics
Will there be a central trash/recycling or do we take out waste with us?
This is a Pack it in / Pack it out event. Our motto is to leave it better than we found it. If you bring garbage or packaging we ask that you plan to pack it out when you leave. There will be recycle, trash, and composting bins available. Help by bringing reusable eating utensils, plates, cups, and cloth napkins, and by removing products from packaging and cardboard boxes before coming. Water is provided on site so no need for plastic water bottles – in fact, we discourage the use of plastic water containers as they are not only poisonous but destructive to the Earth. Please plan to pack your own trash out.
What is the personal cooking situation? Can we set up a kitchen?
Propane BBQs and camping stoves are permitted, but there are absolutely NO OPEN FLAMES or charcoal burners.
Conscious food venders, regulated by SolFood (Sustainable, Organic, and Local) will be providing food during days and evenings. If you prefer to cook for yourself, we will have a market with delicious, fresh offerings from the Ojai Food Co-op. We encourage the use of food provided through the festival as we are being conscious to make it both affordable and healthy – and it creates less waste and trash than bringing in your own. In any case, bring your own re-usable food ware and utensils. Help us co-create consciously!
If you are setting up a kitchen onsite, be mindful of your grey/black water creation. There are no dumping facilities onsite, and, being in a pristine, natural setting, we would like to “leave it better”. Bring an extra 5 gallon jug to collect your dirty water, and bring it offsite to dump appropriately. Think Burning Man style… be mindful of our grounds!
Are there shower facilities?
We will have showers available on site, and due to our current drought situation, we ask that you be mindful in their use. It takes 25 gallons of water for a 10min shower, so be aware… save some to share.
We kindly ask that you do not set up camp showers or venture to the river (which is restricted from access anyways).
Showers will be open: 8 am - 7 pm
Cost per person: $3
Where is the closest City/Store?
The Paradise Store is the closest store, located a few miles to the south. Live Oak Campground sits roughly between Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez – both roughly 20 minutes away. Be mindful of your needs and try to bring in everything you need the first time.
Are all body workers and healers licensed or certified that attend and offer services at Lucidity?
No. Many are, but as an open-source festival that encourages participation we also want to allow those with natural abilities to contribute as they feel fit. We ask all practitioners who are unlicensed or uninsured to refrain from heavy pressure and/or any structural work. We encourage participants to develop a relationship and communicate your needs, concerns, and any questions prior to enjoying the healing arts.
I didn’t get accepted to host my workshop or play with my band, will there still be a way for me to contribute at the festival?
Absolutely. Besides keeping open slots in our workshop & stage schedules to allow for some in-the-moment open-source opportunities just like this, we also have many participant driven sound camps that will be offering space to play and perform. Explore – if you are meant to share a certain gift, the chance to express and collaborate will make itself available!
