Rion Beauregard

Rion Beauregard brings a combination of passion, presence and playfulness to the fields of sustainable design science & nature connection. After graduating from Claremont McKenna College with a thesis entitled, “Altered States, Shamanism & Healing Leadership,” he was employed by non-profits in San Diego and Santa Barbara, using Wilderness Survival & Nature Awareness to empower at-risk teens.
Having grown up as a military brat who circumnavigated the planet by age 12, his exposure to diverse cultures and socio-economic status birthed his desire for harmonic global citizenship. Two rites of passages, a traditional Lakota Vision Quest & a 10-day medicine journey in Peru, gave Rion clarity for his true passion: the integrated design science of sustainability (permaculture).
In 2007, he founded We Share Earth, an Environmental Education Non-Profit, to inspire shared resources, solutions, & responsibility across the planet. We Share Earth is in the final stages of implementing a program that incorporates food forests, natural building, water harvesting, and sustainable vocations into urban & suburban neighborhoods.
In 2012, Rion took a pilgrimage to the Yucatan for the Winter Solstice. Through a series of intuitive guidance, heart connections, and synchronistic unfolding, he met the Mayan medicine man named Ac Tah, and traveled with him and his group to Chichen Itza. During the Synthesis 2012 Festival, he participated in ceremony, created sacred geometry, taught magnetic movement, and learned about how to activate the “original technology of the pyramids” inside the human body through Ac Tah’s teachings & movements.
Through a teaching process that encourages experiential learning, mindfulness, dynamic group interaction, and adopting the “beginner’s mind,” Rion will be sharing his passion of nature through workshops on permaculture, wilderness skills, rites of passage, and his experience with the Mayan medicine man, Ac Tah.
Scheduled Workshops
Nature Awareness
Day: Saturday | Duration: 75 min. | Location: Warriors' ArenaWe will start by providing the basics tools for nature awareness: touch, sight, sound and movement; we will use these foundations to explore our deeper connection to the wilderness and the mentality that can transition us from survival to living in comfort. Skills such as shelter construction, fire by friction, and water purification will be taught. General discussion of hunting & foraging will be available with an opportunity for break-out groups to go deeper into the teachings as the weekend unfolds.
Nature Awareness: Rites of Passage
Day: Sunday | Duration: 75 min. | Location: Warriors' ArenaThis immersive, experiential workshop will give each individual a chance for deep exploration and relationship with the inner & outer world of spirit and form as we use the natural world for a mirror of understanding. After the experience, our group will have an opportunity to debrief on how the journey revealed hidden parts of our nature. Most importantly, we will share to the tools to integrate these newly discovered parts back into our lives in a healthy way and to discard that which no longer serves us with honor and appreciation. The actual rites of passage may vary, depending on the number of participants, environmental factors and interest level. Unlike most indigenous & ritualistic rites of passage, participant physical safety will be our primary goal.
Introduction to Permaculture
Day: Saturday | Duration: 60 min. | Location: Krishna DomeAn introductory exploration of the design science of sustainability: Permaculture. We will be investigating the way that systems integration can bring a more efficient, sustainable and even regenerative way of living on this planet. Our group dynamic will encourage participation, experiential learning, and will provide the foundation for more focused break-out groups to form and explore deeper as the weekend unfolds.
Earth Magnetic Fields & Pyramids
Day: Friday | Duration: 60 min. | Location: Krishna DomeAfter joining up with a Mayan Medicine Man in Chichen Itza for a 5-day intensive on magnetic movement, sound-healing, and ceremony, I have been blessed to share the teachings of Ac Tah, sacred earth geometry and the original technology of the pyramids through movement, creating sacred geometry mandalas, didgeridoo sound vibration, and construction of a pyramid similar to the 13 pyramids created for 12.21.12 by Ac Tah throughout Mexico and the United States.
