As we step into the Regeneration Earth, an opportunity presents itself for us to seed a new garden and participate in regenerating earth. We consider the aspects of the earth element and this beloved planet we live on. How can you weave together a soundscape that expresses what Regeneration Earth means to you, delights the ears, and evokes Lucidity?

Submit your Regeneration Earth Original Music Track for a chance to Win your own DJ set at Lucidity 2020!
Your submission should be 3-5 minutes in length and consist of at least 10 of the music samples provided.

The Details
Once your track is ready, name it, and upload it to your artist SoundCloud.
Click on the ‘Submit’ button below to upload your SoundCloud track link and fill out artist information in the form. You will have 6 weeks to complete the track. Submissions open on Tuesday, December 10th, 2019 and close on Friday, January 17th, 2020.
On Monday, January 20th, after submissions close, we will create an Electronic/Livetronic Music Contest Facebook post where the public can listen to and vote for your track. There will be one comment (by Lucidity Festival) per SoundCloud link music submission.
Public voting will take place in the Lucidity Festival FB post, based on the number of likes/reactions for each submission comment made by Lucidity Festivals.
Voting will be open from Monday, January 20th to Monday, January 27th.
Starting on Monday, January 20th, share your track link across social media, tag @Lucidity Festival, and add the hashtags: #LucidBeats and #LucidityRegenerationEarth to all posts. Share the link as much as you can to encourage people to LISTEN and VOTE for your track on the FB post. The winner with the highest number reactions/comments/votes will be selected by the voting public, and receive the opportunity to perform a 1 hour DJ set on the Lucid Landing Stage at Lucidity.
Winner will be announced on Tuesday January 28th.

Prize Package
Winner receives the opportunity to perform on the Lucid Landing Stage at Lucidity Festival: Regeneration Earth, + (2) 3-day Festival Passes. If you are a group of 3 or more, the 2 extra passes (or number passes needed for the group) will be allocated to the remainder of the group; if you are a group of 2, you will receive 1 extra pass. Lucidity Festival reserves the right to not select a winner based on contestant eligibility.
How this works
- Download the Regeneration Earth Sample Pack.
- Create your original music track (3-5 minutes long) using at least 10 sounds from the Regeneration Earth Sample Pack, and upload to your artist Soundcloud.
- Submit the Soundcloud link of your track to the submission form.
- Once voting begins, encourage people to listen to your song and vote for your track on the Lucidity FB post. Share your track link across social media, tag @Lucidity Festival, and add the hashtags: #LucidBeats & #LucidityRegenerationEarth to all posts.
- One Winner with the highest number likes/reactions/votes will be selected by the voting public.

Rules and Regulations of the Contest
- ORIGINAL tracks can be submitted via the submission form on our website beginning Tuesday, December 10th and ending Friday, January 17th at 11:59 pm PST.
- Submitted tracks must be UNRELEASED prior to the contest start date, which covers singles, EPs, LPs, and compilations on major and independent labels, free/paid releases via Bandcamp, and free downloads on SoundCloud.
- Tracks must remain on SoundCloud until the contest is over on January 28th.
- Artists retain the rights of ownership of their work.
- By entering this contest, you agree to share what you create with Lucidity Festival under the Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0 License (Full Terms). Creative Commons allows an artist to “retain copyright while allowing others to copy, distribute, and make some uses of their work.” All work licensed from you will be used exclusively for promotional purposes. Lucidity Festival will never make money directly from the sale of media for which we do not have a supplemental commercial agreement.
- Only submit ONE track per DJ/producer. If you submit more than one, only your first entry will be considered.
- DO NOT submit MIXES, REMIXES, or STOLEN WORK. (Yes, we understand DJs create mixes, but we want ORIGINAL, SINGLE tracks for this particular competition.)
- Each track should consist of at least 10 of the samples from the Regeneration Earth Sample Pack.
- Voting by the public will take place from Monday, Monday, January 20th to Monday, January 27th.
- NO bot voting
- NO voting incentives (i.e. “each voter gets a free iPad”)
- NO voting raffles (i.e. “we’ll take one lucky voter to each festival with us”)

The contest is restricted to residents of the United States. Winner will be responsible for providing their own transportation to and from the festival. Additionally, they will be responsible for bringing equipment necessary to perform at the festival, and are subject to the standard contract of Lucidity Festival Musicians. Lucidity Festival reserves the right to choose when and where to schedule the winners’ slots. The winner may not be afforded full artist privileges.

“Seed a New Garden. Awakening and watching, watching and learning, learning and doing. We are engaged in a beautifully entangled process of expansion that we know through our feeling, sensing, observing, behaving, and growing. Along with a growing global perspective, we elongate our sense of responsibility for our actions on Earth well beyond our own lives. We see many generations into the future, and give thanks to countless generations of our ancestors. We step confidently into this big place, knowing our actions and deeds affect all of life and ripple outward in infinite directions. We are ready once again to get to work, to dig our hands in the dirt and build a new garden that our children and their children’s children will tend. We saw Eudaimonia as a possibility in a fleeting dream years ago, and some part of us knows in our hearts that it is so always already, perhaps on some parallel timeline or dimension. We are ready to sound the horns and call it back in. Water is life. Breath is life. Soil is life. Heartfully grown food is life. Once your song is ready, record a video of you playing/performing the song, upload it to YouTube, and title the YouTube video: Lucidity Festival 2020 Regeneration Earth Live Music Contest. At the beginning of the video, state your artist name and the name of the song.
