Ricardo is an accomplished musician, composer, producer and teacher. He has an extensive experience as World Percussionist and Singer, an expert in ethnic styles including music from India, Mideastern, Cuban-Latin, Brazilean, Spanish Flamenco and African. He has the opportunity of visiting and touring a dozen countries, which includes his experience of living in India for a year, where he developed his Tabla set technique, Ragas chant and Kirtan-Bhajan devotional singing styles. His teachers and mentors include the great Tabla maestro Zakir Hussain, Mr. John Bergamo, Mrs. Meredith Monk, Sri Shyam Srivastava and Sri Ramesh Shotham, among others.

He’s also an experienced Yoga practitioner, Dance and performing arts enthusiast. He has worked extensively as a guest musician-performer, with several Dance companies, studied yoga in India, and dance styles like Graham and Fedora Aberasturi methods with masters like Nancy Zendora, Susana Ibanez, Miguel Angel Robles and Claudia Carbonell. Ricardo is now a Los Angeles resident, continuing his career as a professional musician, composer, producer and teacher. As for what inspires him to offer his music and workshop at Lucidity, is bringing to the participants his new ways to achieve inner harmony, balance and joy.

Ricardo created an ‘on-hands’ program, which includes learning techniques based on some popular world music ‘drum n song’ styles, and synchronized mind/body meditation skills. He will also be performing live some material from his CHILL OUT INDIA VIBE CD, featuring vocals, tabla, percussion set and laptop tracks, during the meditation time.
