Haywyre

haywyre

Haywyre consists of Martin Vogt, who has been studying piano for over 13 years and has been constantly progressing in both his productions and the mastering of the instrument. At the age of six, Haywyre relocated with his family to the small town of Perchtoldsdorf, Austria, where he was being classically trained in the piano. His interest in the production of hip-hop, dubstep and electronica began growing for the next few years. He began indulging into a variety of electronic genres, discovering the immense possibilities of using musical software. Shortly after moving back to the United States, Haywyre was created. Initially, his piano education was the drive in his chill-out productions. With the rise of the dubstep scene, his albums has become more electronically oriented, but still with a focus on powerful synth leads. Never settling for a single genre, he has tackled Glitch Hop, Dubstep, Drumstep, Neurohop, and more, but all with a re-occurring theme: the juxtaposition of heavy bass and complex melodic patterns.

He has produced over four albums, with his most recent full-length release of The Voyage off of Gruntworthy (Minnesota, Sugarpill, and more). With a total of over 170,000 views on Soundcloud, The Voyage is a prime example of the explosive potential Haywyre entails and what to expect in the years to come. In Spring 2013, Haywyre will release his fift” release entitled ‘Two Fold’ that will be available off Caliber. He gathers inspiration from artists such as Noisia, Break, STS9, Pretty Lights, Flying Lotus, Trentemoller, Patrick O’Hearn, Kraak & Smaak, Phillip Glass and Abdullah Ibrahim.
