Alycia Nichole

Raised on the coast of California, Alycia Nichole began singing and dancing at age 3. Growing up in her house, she was listening to Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, and the 4 tops. Alycia’s sound reflects her inspirations, it’s soulful. At this time Alycia is releasing a new video every week through her YouTube channel and Facebook, where she is singing original material and requested/current covers.

Alycia has been collaborating with other artist on projects, but is also working on all new material and plans to release a free single by this Summer. Alycia started writing her own material and working with producers in 2004. In 2008 she teamed up with local producer Rogan Allen of Giftrap, and co wrote her self-titled début Alycia Nichole, which she released digitally in 2011.

Not thinking she would win, Alycia submitted a 30 second raw audition to Grammy award winning artist Wyclef Jean for his “”More bottles”” recording contest. Wyclef selected her and others to be voted for. Alycia Nichole was 1 of 10 winners who got to record at his New York Platinum Sounds Studio. In 2010 Alycia’s second single “Do you believe,” was DJ favorite and in heavy rotation at the 2010 Olympics. Later that year, “Butterfly,” her third single debut on London airwaves.
