Regeneration and Emergence at Lucidity

It’s been a while since I’ve done this. Since I‘ve gathered my crew, packed up for the weekend, and traveled to a remote location to dance all night under the stars.

Lucidity will be my first festival since Dirtybird in 2018. That year I had gone to three different music festivals and had been keeping that cadence for nearly five years. I was worn out. I needed a break. Time to recharge. An emergence would come eventually. Little did I know my ‘year-off break’ from festival’ing would turn into over three years.

For many of us, Lucidity will be our first time back in the festival scene since the pandemic began in March 2020. A lot has changed since then. We have new friends, romantic relationships, hobbies, careers, and living situations. I personally have experienced all of the above. I feel as if I am in a completely new chapter of my life, and I’m sure many of you feel the same.

This long-term festival hiatus may stir up a number of emotions. Excitement, nervousness, happiness, anxiety, or peace. It’s normal to feel a little uncertain about jumping back into something that you haven’t done in so long. Our long awaited emergence is here though!

After all this time, you may even worry that you forgot how to do it. You have changed so much in the last few years - how will it be different? Well, one thing that you can count on, is that it will be. And that’s why you should be excited. We have grown and changed and bettered ourselves. Learned what we want and need from others and from ourselves.

We’ve sat in the silence—in the uncertainty of life—and figured out what truly matters to us.

On April 8th, we will arrive at Lucidity with our new selves, on a quest to water the seeds of our soul. Remember the way it felt the first time you ever went to a festival? When everything was new and you felt like you were transforming in real time? Get ready to find that feeling again as we bring a whole new version of ourselves to bloom.

We are ready to step confidently back into the things we once held so dear. We are ready to explore ourselves in the most vulnerable, free-spirited, and open way that we are capable of.

We are ready to join with others who want to grow alongside us. We are ready to reform our mindsets and connect with each other on a deeper level than ever before. Knowing that we were patient, we are healing, and we are ready to emerge together.
