Luke Holden
Luke champions the ideals of kindness, collaboration and ethical business practice. Luke aims to strengthen the art world and crumble impediments created by a culture which largely hails competition over collective gain.
Inspired early on by natural builders and sculptors like David Nash and Patrick Dougherty, Holden has devoted his life to the development of passion.
Born in Santa Barbara, Ca Luke began an alternative education at age ten when because of an insatiable need to draw he was homeschooled by his parents and enrolled into Santa Barbara City College’s art department and. This is where Holden began his education in painting, design, sculpting and building with mentors Ron Robertson, Ken Nack, and Ed Inks, all who contributed with words and lessons which instilled the importance and complexity of what Art really means to it’s creators and viewers.
Now, several years after Holden has taken what he considers his artistic ‘deep dive’, wherein he began live painting and leading with a ‘yes’ philosophy, fate and effort has led him to happy and active ends, doing what he feels is his purpose.
Luke has recently co-founded Branches Mobile Gallery & Lucidity Festival LLC, Lucidity is an open-source transformational arts and music festival, Branches is a touring fine arts environment. The Lucidity invitation to the participants is to co-create the festival experience & environment alongside the loving Lucid Family.
