Tediana Torrens

Tediana Torrens is a current naturopathic medical student at the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. Before moving to Portland, she attended UCSB and continued living in Santa Barbara for several years post-graduation. Presently, her educational focus includes mental wellness, physical medicine (bodyworks) and herbal/botanical medicine. Even before beginning her studies in naturopathy, Tediana had a deep appreciation for herbal medicine, making home-remedies and teas that she shared with friends and family. She believes in the healing power of nature and touch and is passionate about sharing this medicine with her community. In her own life, she puts an emphasis on herbal remedies/tea, yoga, massage and nutrition for self-care and development.

Healing Description

My approach to healing involves the integration of several modalities—bodyworks (Swedish, deep tissue, energy), herbalism and aromatherapy. The unity of these practices allows for inclusive, whole-body healing. I practice this idea by using aromatic/herbal massage oils, herbal compresses and tinctures in conjunction with bodywork. I believe that aromatherapy and the healing power of plants can enhance bodywork, elevating its potential to new heights.
