Workshops & Presentations

  • The Life & Times of Terence Mckenna

    90 min | Lucid University

Terence McKenna's archivist and biographer opens up the archives and dives deep into the life of the most influential psychedelic advocate of the late 20th century. We'll explore some lesser-known materials and try to develop a novel, complex representation of this bard of hyperspace. Bring your questions for a lively Q & A to close the session.

  • Imaginatrix: The Terence McKenna Experience

    90 min | Lucid University

IMAGINATRIX - the Terence McKenna Experience is a new kind of film, an ecstatic cinema overfull with ideas, electrons, and indicators of other realms.

Terence McKenna revitalized and re-valorized psychedelia, keeping alive a crucial, yet criminal idea that ordinary people have a birthright to psychedelic experience. His tireless advocacy of DMT, Ayahuasca, and psychedelic mushrooms moved the discussion of cognitive liberty to new vistas. He was an intellectual renegade, and millions have responded to his provocations.

Ken Adams has been collaborating and experimenting with McKenna for over twenty years and co-created Alien DreamTime and Strange Attractor. This project was catalyzed by the recovery of previously un-released videos circa 1990-94. Embedded in animated image swarms and abundant visualizations, the resulting elixir is steeped in exotic music by Stephen Kent, Rena Jones, Kenneth Newby, Bond Bergland, and Steve Marsh.

IMAGINATRIX is a place where the only laws are laws of the human imagination. This screening will be followed by a Q&A; by Ken Adams.
