Sita is a PlantWisdom Practitioner trained in the Shipibo tradition. She shepherds a powerful community in Los Angeles and globally, of healers, seekers, visionaries and creators. She works with individuals and groups, in ceremonies, events, lectures and tours bridging the chaos of modern life to the wisdom of indigenous spiritual practice. She produced the groundbreaking event - Visionary Convergence located in Los Angeles in September 2015, offering over 60 presentations, visionary art, live painting, music, poetry and film, attended by over 300 people. Sita’s love of adventure has led her on an inner journey into non-ordinary states of consciousness facilitated by the richness of the plant kingdom. The resulting insight into what exists outside of consensus reality informs her teaching in a world with an unconscious emphasis on accumulation of the material.
Over the last 20 years, Sita has founded several organizations and events including PlantTeachers and Convergence events. Sitaramaya is a stand for “Deep Ecology:” the ecology of the interrelatedness, intelligence and equality of all creation in the Gaian ecosphere. She founded “Fundo Sitaramaya,” a preservation project of privately-held Amazonian land to steward and protect old growth trees, waterways and rainforest flora and fauna.
Sita curates visionary art and has presented at consciousness events including the Ayahuasca monologues, the Aya Awakenings film premiere, the Aware Project and the World Ayahuasca Conference in Ibiza, Spain in September 2014.
Sita is also the director of the Capital Case Project, assisting and protecting the constitutional liberties of people on death row.
