Maya Sequoia and Sean

Maya is a heart-centered preschool teacher. Her degree is in Early Childhood Education with a specialization in Anti-Bias Curriculum. She has been working with and for children for over 8 years. Her work is inspired by her dedication to conscious communication, mindfulness and presence. She strives to provide a safe space for children to explore and be themselves, while nurturing their abilities to be kind and caring. She is rooted in her devotion to our Mother Earth and encourages all to connect deeper to nature. At the core of her practice is respect for children as equal sentient beings. This will be her 5th year at Lucidity’s Family Garden. She is excited to share her offering with all the Lucidity kids and kids at heart!

Sean is an urban shaman that works to protect native plants and clean water in Santa Cruz. He also self-publishes a visionary skate zine called Realize Zine that promotes positivity through self-expression. He especially enjoys silently hiking through the redwood forest to communicate with nature spirits, read landscapes, and untangle interconnected ecologies.Sean is passionate about getting people to connect with their local environment, and is excited to share his plant wisdom and their healing properties with the next generation.

Workshops & Presentations

  • Wildcrafted Herbal Medicine Bundles

Come play with consciously gathered herbs, crystals, flowers, feathers, and other sacred objects to create medicine bundles blessed with our intentions for Lucidity. Since the sense of smell is most connected with memory, the scent of the medicine bundle will reconnect us with our intentions from the festival and facilitate healing long after our journey home. Kids and kids at heart are encouraged to join.
