Lucidity 2016 will be the official unfurling of the 1,000-foot long scroll of paper that will travel to the East Coast and back again in a cultural investigation project/documentary called Manuscript Across America. We’ll be stopping at diverse locations along the way, inviting the public to write down their thoughts about who we are and how to improve our relationships with each other and the planet. Prompts will include questions like: “What are the biggest challenges facing you, your community, America and the environment and how should these issues be most effectively addressed?” Lucidity participants will be the first to sign the scroll as the festival and Step Write Up were at the epicenter of Manuscript Across America’s creation. I’ll be making a film documentary of the entire journey, including footage from Lucidity. The completed scroll and documentary should both prove to be insightful and inspiring cultural artifacts.
