The Lucidity Festival internship program aims to integrate students and those seeking experience in event production to participate with multiple festival departments as Intern staff members, who contribute their time, skills and energy in exchange for an event pass, school credit (if desired), an introduction to working in the music festival industry, and the magical experience of being on the Lucidity Festival Dream Team.

Our Objectives

  • Create a meaningful learning experience for students and qualified individuals while providing support to key festival departments
  • Offer a cohesive and comprehensive intern program according to Lucidity’s core values
  • Open an outlet for local college and universities to get connected to Lucidity Festival, familiarizing students with the behind the scenes operations of producing a sustainable multi-day event
  • Empower interns to work hard and contribute creatively to their department
  • Enable interns to identify and complete appropriate tasks that assist the smooth operation of their department
  • Create the opportunity to contribute your unique skills and ideas to a collaborative organization!

Your Commitment

All positions offer a unique experience in a specific department ready and willing to engage your passion. For all positions, all interns must fulfill the following:

  • Obtain and complete all necessary paperwork with your University Internship Program to ensure that you will receive credit for your internship experience, including time logs, Learning Objectives forms, and any other necessary documents. Your Lucidity internship supervisor will support you in their completion.
  • Work a minimum of 40 hours scheduled through your internship supervisor.

Your Compensation

To honor your time and energy, Lucidity Festival offers interns:

  • 1 x 3-Day pass to Lucidity Festival 2017: Eudaimonia
  • 1 meal per shift worked onsite at the event
  • Life/learning experience of helping produce a mindful music festival
  • Opportunity to add experience outside of college courses to resume
  • Professional reference from core producers or staff of Lucidity Festival
  • Networking and connections made as a result of the internship

FAQ’s

Do I have to be a student to be an intern?
No you do not, all you need is the desire to learn! We are looking for people interested in pursuing their career and bettering their understanding of our event.

I don’t live in Santa Barbara, can I work remotely?
Yes, this is an option, but not for all positions. Your location may be a factor depending on the job, and we’ll consider it when offering job placements.

If I’ve volunteered with Lucidity before, or if I’ve applied to be a volunteer, can I apply to be an intern?
Yes! If you have experience with the organization, that is awesome (but not required!). Applying for this program will not affect your volunteer application, but you cannot get accepted for both. If you are not accepted to this program, you can apply to volunteer. Volunteer applications will be available in the winter.

I want to be staff. Can I achieve that through being an intern?
Being an intern means that you get a special experience getting involved in the event. Many people who love to get involved do so year after year, in a lot of different ways. Our staffing is carefully curated, and we are always interested in finding cool people to co-create with!

My skills/experience don’t necessarily fit into one of the positions listed, but I am still interested. Can I apply?
Of course!! Send us your resume. You never know where your skills will fit, and it never hurts to try!
