Sri Lakshmi Oshun
Sri Lakshmi Oshun is a singer/songwriter, dancer, creative play explorer and performer. Here to awaken humanity to the Truth and Love that we all are, Lakshmi enjoys participating in the flowering of Consciousness through Music, Dance, Creativity and Healing Movement. With a Dance background beginning with Ballet, Jazz and Tap, and later expanding into Salsa, Samba, Belly Dance, Bhangra and Afro-Brazilian, her latest creation ‘Dance with the Elements’ is an artistic fusion to reconnect to the elements of life and is a culmination of years of exposure to diverse dance styles and cultures. The connection with Nature, Mother Earth, and the Elemental Deva Realm is an aspect she loves to explore through music, movement, meditation, and creative play with children and adults. Teaching dance and movement to children of all ages since she was ten years old, she loves to share practices to elevate and empower the youth to be conscious co-creators of their own reality and honor the body temple. Completing her Pilates certification in 2008, she began to explore the therapeutic and healing qualities of various movement modalities. Finding deep healing in the sacredness of movement and the devotion of dance, Lakshmi was drawn to develop a regular yoga practice to compliment her dancing, and she loves to share a diverse array of daily devotional practices to harmonize the body, mind and spirit. She also has experience in film and writing, partaking in the documentary “11 miles to Paradise” and writing, narrating, and starring in “Stuck in Kathmandu” by The Musical Circus. Singing, writing and creating music is one of Lakshmi’s most deep heart’s callings and she is looking forward to releasing new music out to the world.
