Solar B

“Childhood curiosity turned hobby… A hobby became a livelihood. Original ideas come from the Mystery.”

Brian Chandler has been teaching Solar Carving workshops at schools, festivals, and private events for many years, showing people how sunlight can be harnessed for energy and art.During his experiences he picked up the nick name “Solar B”.

Solar B has been creating unique, handmade gifts for 20 years all over California. He has also taught 1000’s of kids and, kids at heart, how to make their own special creations while learning new and exciting ways to focus and meditate. Focused through a magnifying glass, the essence of the Sun becomes the medium to engrave detailed carvings into wood that’s gathered from all over California. All the pieces that are collected are either recycled, reclaimed, found or fair trade and burned with pure sunshine making this a very Earth friendly art form!
