Scheduled Appearances

  • Awakening of the senses with GYROKINESIS®

Location: Healing Sanctuary - Wise Owl Collabortorium

GYROKINSEIS® is a movement method that gently works the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion, and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences. It is an original, and unique movement practice, which has roots in Yoga, Tai Chi, gymnastics, and dance.
Our experience begins with a gentle warm up sequence of dry skin brushing, self-massage and the stimulation of the nervous system through the “awakening of the senses” repertoire. The class progresses with a series of fluid spinal motions, which increase range of motion, and prepare the body to explore more complex movements with agility, and ease. Gradually adding more complex sequences, incorporating movements of the hips, shoulders, hands and feet. Finishing with a calming, unwinding sequence designed to prepare the body and mind to reintegrate with the every day world.

  • Organ Dynamics for Flexibility, Alignment and Strength

Location: Healing Sanctuary - Wise Owl Collabortorium

Explore Dynamic imagery training for the organs to maintain and improve health, movement coordination, strength and agility. It is common knowledge that muscles and joints are important for movement. Organs, however, are often not considered as part of training.
Many physical complaints and pains that seem to be located in muscles, joints and ligaments actually originate in the organs. What is the nature of these dysfunctions? Commonly, their origin is due to an imbalance in the tone, movement and position of the organ within the body.

Organs are very autonomous in nature. Many of them can function quite well when taken out of the body. What function does a muscle have outside the body? The heart can actually be transplanted; the gut contains a very complex nervous system that allows it to function autonomously (the enteric brain). Every organ is responsible for its position and tone within the body, which it seeks to maintain. Just as most people have some misalignments (spine) and some imbalance in muscle tone, most people have some imbalances in the organs. This is why balancing the organs results in an increased sense of well-being, better movement skills, improved alignment and a brighter mood.
