“The further I moved away from crowded cities, the deeper I got connected to nature and to my own artistic expression. I have an MA in visual communication, worked as a make up artist, was dancing in theater groups for years and always did something creative, but when I learned about needle felting 5 years ago, I found the medium that I had been always looking for. I love that with this technique I can work with all kinds of beautiful natural fibers and make figures, soft statues, dolls, animals, tapestries, objects, jewelry, basically anything I can think of or others ask me to. A few years ago I named them BoriDolls Creations. You name it… I felt it. In this work, nature inspires me a lot. My real passion is to create creatures that are part of the unseen world, mythical figures and spirits of nature. Fairies, pixies, sprites, dragons, gnomes, mermaids… just to name a few. To make them visible I use colorful wool and mix them with natural found objects like moss, shells, pine cones, acorns, grass, etc or recycled and vintage material”
