Workshops & Presentations

  • Conversational Dance: Freedom from Convention

    90 min | Movement Lab

We all want to be heard, and it can feel so juicy when both people are listening! The art of listening is one of the subtlest and most challenging, especially when you've got something burning to say. We'll focus on giving and taking space in both lead and follow roles to the purpose of creating a fluid exchange in which both people are listening AND responding in real time, as well as expressing their movement desires without demand.

  • Slow, Saucy and Sacred

    105 min | Movement Lab

This workshop will be a deep dive into micro-dance technique. Navigating the intimacy of close embrace with respect and honoring of boundaries, responding with instantaneous precision and flowing effortlessly between initiation (lead) and response (follow) while practicing good consent will be addressed. We'll also dive into breath work, exploring complexity of movement and the luscious richness available within the pause.
