A heaping helping of soulful rock n’ roll with a dash of blues, a garnish of leafy improvisation, and a sprinkle of the unknown. Spoonful aims to dish out boogie you can dance to with fresh, original tunes all night long!
Hailing from Santa Barbara, California, the power trio known as Spoonful is gaining recognition on the west coast for their soulful and down to earth vintage sound. Paying homage to the greats (T. Bone Walker, B.B. King, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, etc.) and taking a lesson from those that followed (The Allman Brothers, The Grateful Dead, The Band, etc.), Spoonful delivers a heavy electric (and at times psychedelic) take on the blues, giving audiences something to really listen and groove to.
Eric White provides the explosive and groovy foundation on the drums, while Zach Doiron dazzles with tasty guitar licks and heavy riffs. Geoff Levy plays intermediary between the rhythm and harmony whilst simultaneously delivering undeniably funky basslines. With a focus on unique, original compositions, improvisation, extended funky jams, occasional forays into jazz, spacey “out-there” jams, and everything in between, there is something for everyone in Spoonful’s music.
Spoonful released their self-titled EP in July of 2018, available on all online musical forums and is currently performing at venues, parties, and festivals in the Western US.
