We’re delighted to invite you to be a part of the Lucidity Festival’s musical journey with our Original Music Contest 2024, themed around “Auroras’ Light.”

Do you have an original piece of music that resonates with the spirit of Lucidity Festival: Auroras’ Light? If yes, this is your chance! Enter the contest for an opportunity to showcase your talent on one of our premier stages at the festival. This year, we’re offering two unique sets: one for live musicians or bands, and the other tailored for electronic acts.

It’s crucial to highlight that this contest is distinct from our general musician application process. Our festival’s musical acts are curated through a separate, independent process. For this contest, we’re looking beyond just the technical prowess in your music. We’re seeking a composition that harmonizes with this year’s Lucidity narrative and ethos. Winning entries will be evaluated on their originality, thematic alignment, and how well they capture the essence of Lucidity, in addition to the musical quality.

For your reference, Auroras’ Light represents the penultimate chapter in our 12-part festival saga, resonating with the “resurrection” stage of a hero’s journey. As described by Joseph Campbell, this is a transformative juncture where the hero revives and emerges stronger post a significant challenge. Mirroring this, the birth of this festival post-pandemic, coupled with overcoming the trials of the previous year’s weather, signifies our collective resurrection. We identify with many others in this shared journey of overcoming and evolving.
