Rachel Stricker

Dr. Rachel received her doctorate of naturopathic medicine from SCNM in Tempe, Arizona. She also holds a BS in Psychology and Gender and Diversity Studies from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to her transition to the Pacific NW, she was the Wellness Director at an integrative chronic pain clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr.Rachel is a primary care/family medical doctor with specialties in mental and emotional health, pain management and sports medicine. She is particularly interested in the field of psychoneuroimmunology, the study of the interaction between psychological processes and the nervous and immune systems of the human body. Dr. Rachel believes strongly in the naturopathic principle of Tolle Totum or treating the whole person. Dr. Rachel explores the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of her patients to evoke real and sustainable healing. Dr. Rachel’s professional mantra is “lighting the path to wholeness” and hopes to be the guidance you seek on your journey. She will meet you wherever you are and travel with you as far as you want to go. She has been an avid festival
participant for 6 years and has taught in yoga teacher trainings and community education programs in Phoenix and Portland.

    We will discuss the history of mental health as foretold from important literary works and the development of modern psychology. We will also discuss how negative connotations of words and diagnoses has skewed society's view of mental health. We will explore shamanic principles for understanding mental health and discuss how to use our soul stirrings to jumpstart our transformations. We will also discuss how to use naturopathy for ascension symptoms. This class is well-suited for any healers working with the public and for those who would like to explore their own mental and emotional workings on a deeper level.
