Deeply rooted in the ancient tradition and at the same time strongly influenced by contemporary pop culture, we now push the
boundaries of genre to combine all of their passions into one new and unique sound called “BassMantra”: Melodious electronic dance music and subsonic bass meets the call and response singing of 5000 year old Indian Sanskrit mantras, accompanied by live acoustic instruments creating a new sound that synthesizes electro, bass, world and chant. This is where the boundaries between performers and audience become blurred, everybody is united in one voice, and everybody becomes the band.

BassMantra had their debut performance at the 2012 Festival of Colors, Utah in front of 20.000 people. They are currently working on their first BassMantra EP, to be released early 2013, and have upcoming shows in California, Utah and New Zealand.

Fire~Sword: Dance of the Sacred Warrior

This workshop is designed to introduce people to the practice of Fire~sword dancing as a path to creative fulfillment, inspiration, and enlightenment. The principals of meditation, martial arts, and art modeling are combined with a passion for dance and human expression to introduce students to their bodies as living works of art. As practitioners gain familiarity with basic handwork {techniques of object manipulation} & footwork {stances, steps, and leaps}, we practice moving our bodies and the swords to music. What results is yoga {union} between the consciousness of the practitioner and the sonic pulse, enabling the dancer to access an intuitive wellspring of creativity from which spontaneous choreography emerges effortlessly. Philosophical hints at the Tao {way} of life are sprinkled in for good measure. If you have them, please bring a yoga mat and anything that could be used like a sword {but which it's ok to hit yourself with while learning ;-}. If you do not have any, come anyway, as I do have a few to share...

We will look at and practice the fundamental framework for the Aú (cartwheel) and how the arms work to inspire a graceful "falling-up." We will practice partnered sequences and learn a mindful approach to the game of capoeira.  This workshop is designed for all levels of movement experience.

Cacao Ceremony

~Thank you… It is an honor to share with you the magic of you(r)self through the sacred use and union of cacao. Simply, cacao is an opportunity in the healing and saving of self. A gateway into the exploration and discovery of the content of our mind and our emotional body ? An inner-twining of the eagle, your mind the north, with the condor your heart, and the south.

Throughout time, cacao has been celebrated as a food of the gods. It is believed that the spirit of cacao has the power to reveal and unlock the secrets of the soul. We will invite the Spirit of this wise plant in to fill our hearts with the knowing of truth and love. Together we will drink a prepared cacao elixir. Giving our selves the opportunity to enter our mind and emotional body opening closed pathways freeing up energetic pathways and journey deep into the pages and chapters that is the book of our lives. Bringing forth the knowing of love in a way that is immediate and lasting.

In remembering we are wholesome beings non separate from any human, feeling, experience… From anything outside of ourselves. May we together look within the mirror that is life.

I am exited to meet you where you are at, To sit with you and allow all images to dissolve. It is here that we may feel ourselves as our world and all that fills it. The journey within is a journey

This love-remembering  brought forth from this sacred medicine and your willingness to look within will be integrated into every cell of our being through sound and vibration activating and awakening our full sensory system. The time is NOW! to BE empowered and share your Divine expression.

Let us gather in circle as family, drink of the well of truth and celebrate the knowing of love as ONE~ Namaste

The goal here is to remove any distinction between our circular spinning and geometric spinning so once again there are not any blockages and more flow created.

“Sacred geometry and Earth energies of the Portals” is an in depth presentation of the interactive “Portal” installations that have been at Burning Man and other festivals since 2004. They employ sacred geometry, color and sound for participants to experience an evolution of consciousness. The golden ratio and the 5 platonic solids that are utilized in their designs will be described, plus the next level of geometries they manifest. It will be explained how the Portals incorporate the geometric evolution of the Earth’s interactive energy body and relate to the human chakra system to assist in aligning participants multi-dimensional vibrational energy body to the Earth's so they may connect to this new frequency. The low frequency audio feedback device "Quasar Wave Transducer" that is inside of the Portals will be described as well.

TERMINATOR TOO JUDGMENT PLAY - 10:15pm & 12:10am (2 SHOWINGS)

From the director of the long running hit show Point Break Live! comes the new interactive spoof TERMINATOR TOO JUDGMENT PLAY. Called "Sharply funny!" by the NY Post and raved as "EPIC!" by Backstage, TERMINATOR TOO is, as TheJadedViewer.com put it, "The MUST SEE action movie remake." Fresh off of a successful world premiere run in New York City, the show has arrived home to Los Angeles and plays every Saturday at The Dragonfly in Hollywood.  This production will star the ORIGINAL CAST of Point Break Live!

TERMINATOR TOO JUDGMENT PLAY is the hilarious new interactive spoof of the 1991 classic action movie, Terminator 2. You’ll help save the human race with everybody’s favorite robot vigilante while being transported back to the days when your only concern was if your Slap Bracelet matched your Reebok Pumps.

Get blasted by super-soakers! Witness the scorching of He-Man action figures! Be dazzled by James Cameron’s revolutionary action sequences and special effects… recreated LIVE (in true 3D)… with next to no budget at all!

Think your Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonation is the best around? Here’s your chance to prove it. For each show, the role of THE TERMINATOR will be chosen from the audience… by the audience! Don’t worry, we’ll provide all of Arnold’s complex, important dialogue on cue cards.

As a San Francisco transplant, Dave Ward, lives a life between a producer, graphic designer, and web developer. Longing for distraction while commuting everyday for 3 hours to work, he started writing new tracks on trains underneath the city - literally underground. His first midtempo release, Loophole, takes listeners on a ride through dirty wobbles, thick basslines, talking synth bits, and chunky beats. Dave constructs a twisted soundscape that pulls inspiration from Glitch Hop, Dubstep, and Breaks.

ChrisB.

Over the last two years, the original sounds of Los Angeles-based producer ChrisB. have taken the underground electronic music scene by storm. Drawn to music at an early age, Chris always had an instrument in his hands while embracing everything from hip-hop and funk, to jazz and classic rock. His passion for songwriting lead him to playing guitar in bands throughout his formative years, but it wasn’t until being exposed to the cutting-edge sounds of electronic music that he realized his true creative calling.

9FEETOFSMOKE hails from Santa Barbara California. Though he’s a relatively unknown entity, he’s making some absolutely technical records. Being a transplant from the heavy metal scene, it was easy for him to identify with the fast tempos and balls to the wall energy encompassed in the heavier sounds of the bubbling underground music scene

Poor Mans Poison - 6:35pm-7:35pm

From the heartland of California, these four life-long friends and band mates bring their combined passion for music to the stage and studio. With their powerful combination of toe tapping acoustics and smooth, spellbinding harmonies, they artfully weave their view of life’s experiences into witty and meaningful lyrical journeys. Poor Man’s Poison discovered early on that just being themselves is best. The result is pure, honest music impossible to forget.

Poor Man’s Poison headed to Nashville this January for the finals of the Texaco Country Showdown where they will competed with the four other Regional Winners on a Nationally syndicated television special for $100,000 and the coveted title, “Best New Act in Country Music.” and WON…. Each year more than 50,000 artists compete throughout the U.S. Past winners include: Martina McBride, Garth Brooks, Miranda Lambert, Neal McCoy, Sara Evans, Brad Paisley and Billy Ray Cyrus.

He's My Brother She's My SisterHe’s My Brother She’s My Sister seem to invite a broad range of colorful words to describe their music and performances: “flamboyant folk,” “psych-acoustic,” “estranged and glamorous” and “vaudeville-y.” No doubt this is due to their mélange of musical styles, both modern and antique; their eccentric attire and sense of expression, both sincere and theatrical; and, their unique instrumentation, which includes a rhythm section bolstered by a tap dancer.

Qui - 7:40pm-8:20pm

According to Wikipedia, Qui was formed in 2000 in Los Angeles, CA, by drummer/vocalist Paul Christensen and guitarist/vocalist Matt Cronk. Since their first performance in LA in early 2001 and the release of their first full-length CD, Baby Kisses, on the Minneapolis-based Heart of a Champion label in 2003, Qui (pronounced, “Qui,”) maintained a prodigious pace of both local performances and national tours including shows all over the US & Europe including All Tomorrow’s Parties opening up for Devo.

In August 2012, Qui entered Entourage Studios with renowned engineer Toshi Kasai, and Melvins drummer Dale Crover in the producers’ chairs to record their third full-length release, Life, Water, Living… True to form, (or lack thereof) the new record is in many ways a departure from their earlier work, relying heavily on dual vocal harmonies and employing new instrumentation like bass guitar and keyboards. It is scheduled for release in March 2013 on ORG Music.

Roadkill Ghost Choir - 3:45pm-4:25pm

Roadkill Ghost Choir is an indie folk-rock band from DeLand, Florida. Brothers Andrew (vocals, guitar), Maxx (drums) and Zach (bass) Shepard make up half the band while Kiffy Meyers (pedal steel, banjo, guitar),  Joey Davoli (keys, trumpet) and Stephen Garza (lead guitar) complete the band’s sound.  It wasn’t until Andrew was offered his first solo gig in 2010 that he decided to form a band to fill out the songs he recently started writing for a live setting. After the band went through several name changes in the early stages of its creation, Roadkill Ghost Choir was formed. While the member’s major influences include Wilco, Gram Parsons, Bob Dylan, and Fleetwood Mac, there are also undercurrents of Radiohead and Nirvana, lending the band an impish edge with broad appeal.

This workshop is designed to offer 1} a thoughtful perspective on the practice of personal mastery 2} techniques of energy sensitivity, cultivation & manipulation 3} some basic principals of Light~sabre combat {for now known as sword~fighting ;-}. One definition of the Jedi viewpoint is suggested, along with a distinction between the attitudes of Jedi and Sith. There is a strong emphasis on understanding the nature of physical existence through comparisons in quantum physics and mysticism, and how conflict can be avoided or managed through one's control over the frequency of one's consciousness. Physical exercises are incorporated, so please bring a yoga mat and anything that could be used like a sword. If you do not have any, come anyway, as I do have a few to share...

Ayurveda, the path to harmony

with Corinna Maharani

To learn how to live in harmony with nature and not against it, may be the answer to solving many of our personal and global problems. I like to share with you the ancient wisdom of the Ayurvedic philosophy as it relates to the day/seasonal and even life cycles. Learning about the rhythms in nature and our own personal rhythms, can lead us to gain a greater understanding of our inter connectivnes. We can learn to lean on the support of nature as we harmonize our own being with the greater rhythms around us, leading us to live health, happy lives. All illness comes from a dis-harmonic relationship to nature.

Elizabeth Robinson, PhD, RN

The nurse is drawn to work that is messy, peculiar, and unpredictable, thus the work of the nurse is soul work. Close to the archetypal energies of death and eros, the nurse image holds longing, ambivalence, fear, desire, and vulnerability. Mythology, metaphor, and symbol help to recover the soul of the nurse, revealing new insights, forgotten memories, and devalued capacities. Elizabeth Robinson, will lead us on a journey into the nurse archetype exploring images found in pre-historical archeology, mythology, folklore, and popular culture. Her research reveals why the nurse captivates culture and maintains the status as the most trusted professional in society, questioning what it would take to re-member her comprehensive wholeness.

Utilizing Somatic Awareness Practices for Healing and Empowerment

The word “Somatic” means of, or relating to the body and is especially distinct from the mind and mental capacities. When we give the body our full presence, its inner wisdom becomes visible. This visibility offers us tools to deconstruct protective and repressive mechanisms, often manifested as body armor. This workshop will assist you to get in touch with your most authentic state of Being. From a place of somatic authenticity, we become more present, and can therefore show up in the world in a more peaceful and powerful way. Includes an introduction to somatic psychology, a guided somatic awareness practice, and a one-on-one practice session.

Experiential Cirlce
April 13th 1:00pm - 2:00pm
With Sarah Uma
Experiential CirlceThe most immediate and powerful way to unlock the energies of the sacred feminine is
through Archetypal Deities practices. In these practices we contemplate the forms and
qualities of these subtle energies.

Deepening our relationship with these qualities becomes a source of refuge and
empowerment. When we invoke these energies through meditation, visualization, inner
dialogues and mantras you bring their light and energy into your own body and mind.

These Archetypal energies come alive when they are invoked and worshiped. If you want
to know them you need to treat them not only as figures out a myth but also as living
beings.

Drawing Nature
April 13th 2:00pm - 3:30pm
with Mike DiGiorgio
Drawing NatureWe are often moved by aspects of the natural world, and this attraction may impell us to represent and interpret that source of inspiration in drawings and paintings. In order to successfully translate our subjects, we must first see the unique, innate form within the subject–be it animal, totem, or landscape element. During this art workshop, a drawing demonstration will be given that will show you how to uncover the abstract qualities of nature and will enable you to build a drawing of your own. Participants will be encouraged to draw from local natural objects, and should bring paper, drawing materials, and any special totemic items they wish to draw.

Phutureprimitive

Phutureprimitive is the moniker of Northwest producer and song writer Rain. Early childhood photos reveal Rain sitting at the piano plinking keys, grinning from ear to ear…..a true sign of things to come. Continuing his early fascination with music, Rain was later drawn to electronic music, inspired by its ability to combine the best of organically played instruments and the synthetic pleasures of sounds more exotic to the human ear. After beginning a DJ career in the 90s, Rain began incorporating the music he was making in his home studio into his DJ sets. That was all it took to trigger a full blown love affair with electronic music and the process of its creation…..and Phutureprimitive was born.

Jamie Watts grew up in the midwest playing piano relentlessly. As the son of a computer engineer, he spent his off-time punching in BASIC code for games like “Oregon Trail”. He didn’t realize technology and music could be combined until late nights listening to Dallas-based radio show “The Grey Zone”. It was there that he found the sounds of The Orb, FSOL, Soul Oddity, Propellerheads, Coldcut, and The Chemical Brothers. Two turntables and a DOS-tracker later, he was translating his inspirations into his own compositions.

This Power Yoga class will tone & strengthen, bringing a fresh energy to your morning practice. While focusing on the breath, build heat and determination. Vinyasa sequences will warm the body in preparation for holding poses. Once the fluid movement has prepared the body for the pose, each selected pose will be held long enough to delve into our determination, to bring our awareness there and probe our ability to enhance that quality. As each pose is held, we’ll examine the form of the pose and the subtle distinction of areas of our bodies., specifically, where can it be relaxed and where must it remain active. This balance of the body will assist in bringing new determination to our warrior spirits. Class will close with a 15 minute meditation.

Slackline Tricks is a workshop for advanced slackliners.  Beginners are welcome to attend but the techniques will be more advanced. I will explain more advanced techniques such as turning on the line, jumping onto the line, bouncing on the line, walking sideways, walking backwards, and even demo some flips off of the line onto the ground.  Please try these techniques at your own risk.  One of the main points demonstrated in this workshop will be to know your own limits while on the line.  Slacklining is not a competition with others; it is a competition between yourself, gravity, and the line.  It is a meditative practice that lets you block out everything else.

Falling up into Grace Pt. 2

with Bill "Tucano Quintal" Stark

(Participation in workshop 1 not necessary) Geared towards the cultivation of mindfulness, spontaneity, freedom, and grace, we will learn the body mechanics of leg and hip extension and how the arms work to counter balance and pull our core, helping us to reach deeply into movement. We will look at and practice the fundamental framework for the Aú (cartwheel) and how the arms work to inspire a graceful "falling-up." In this workshop we will look especially at spiraling and spinning the body. We will practice partnered sequences (different from workshop 1) and learn a mindful approach to the game of Capoeira.  This workshop is designed for all levels of movement experience.

This Healing Arts class will build off of the first one offered, allowing a way to go deeper into the practice. Participation in the first class is not necessary, but this course encourages attendees to move beyond the initial ideas of practice and to dissolve more fully into the energetic principles of movement. They are designed to help heal and strengthen the body and bring clarity and more focus to the mind. Fire, water, air and earth are of service to us without a thought. All of the elements and their wisdom are within us, there is no lack. The rediscovery of their teachings is a way of the Spiritual Warrior.

Neo-tribal drum and dance explores the intimate connection of the drummer and dancer that takes place in the gathering of the drum circle. Andrew will lead the group in chants, songs, and verbal sounds, as well as incorporate vibrational clearing through didgeridoo to administer a reflective ceremony within each circle and to create intentional drumming within the group. Two movement facilitators, Athene Nashea and Darcy Andelin, will lead the group in dance, breaking down the intimidation of dancing for live drums and facilitating the deep level of communication between drummers and dancers through eyes, vibration, and movement. Some instruments will be provided!

Flow-Wand, Levi-Stick, Floating Cane, they have many names. I can sum it up in one word... "WHEE!"
This tool is the best dance partner of them all, and this class will show you why... flowey and showey, snappy and sudden, this prop does it all with grace. We will run through the release methods and basic spins of the wand, and experiment with different rythms and string lengths. Then we will work on stepping around and trading off the role of "lead" with the wand, drawing straight lines, plane tilting, pirrouhettes and dismounts, and hand/illusion positions and grabs/string variations (classic floating cane). Later we will play with the weight, covering isolations, quarter and half leans, glides, as well as "rockets" and other double staff fusion.

Evolving Shamanism and Plant Medicines

Evolving Shamanism and Plant Medicines

with Richard Grossman

The talk will open with a sound healing invocation by Dr. Grossman. After giving a brief history of Amazonian Shamanism and how it has been evolving, current trends in the Amazonian use of Ayahuasca and other plantas maestras (plant teachers) will be discussed. The main body of the talk will offer ideas, proposals, and direction as to how plant medicines, especially Ayahuasca and San Pedro, can and do offer a new connection with self. This connection is at once based on ancient traditions and will forage new ways of finding a deep, centered spirituality. Rather than being based on ideas and concepts, this 21st century spirituality gives direct, non-conceptual experience of divinity. There will then be a brief discussion of some of the dangers and pitfalls of this path and how to best circumvent them. Questions from the audience then become an important part of the dialogue.

What you believe You Create in your Reality

What you believe You Create in your Reality

with Banzai Vitale

Is it possible that in the time it takes to read this sentence that you have split of into another reality 2 billion times? What if, in reality, our universe is as still as a picture frame and we move through these picture frames at a rate barely comprehensible? What if the catalyst for this split and the direction we go is our belief? Can it be that as we split into these different universes that there is a residual effect that causes our universes to expand at an exponential rate? And finally, can we control and choose the universe we wish to experience?

Together, we will embark on this journey. Together, we will use physical science and metaphysical sciences to look at this world from a different perspective.

Our workshop will consist of myself and lady halo teaching others the dynamics of hoop dancing. The different ways one can flow with their hoop to various types of music. As well as hoop tricks that we have mastered. We've chosen a 90 min class session so that we can teach 3+ tricks each session. Depending on the skill level of our students we will do one simple, another moderate, and if they're up for it, a difficult trick. We will have 15-30 min for each trick to teach the fundamentals, if we are presented with quick learners we can teach more tricks in a session. We're eager to bring the joy of hoop dancing to anyone willing to be taught.

Too often we do “good deeds” from a place of sacrifice or guilt. And while a negative impetus can be good at starting a behavior change, it is personally depleting and inevitably ineffective. But if we focus on the good feelings associated with helping someone, we can develop a strong selfish motivation. The world changes when we recognize that, “Your Joy Brings Me Joy.”
